Ahoy friends and supporters,
In a couple of hours I will find out if I have made it into the TOP 15+1! I am nervous waiting around with sweaty palms wondering if Tourism Queensland believes I have what it takes. Close friends of mine are hosting a party for me and Mihai this evening at Biro Creative HQ in Gastown (downtown Vancouver)…you are all invited!
This party will be a wonderful opportunity to thank all my friends, family and media who have supported me from the get-go. The entire expereince thus far has been awesome and quite the wild ride! If I make the TOP 15+1 or not, this is what I’ll be up to today….
TOP 15+1 things I’ll do today:
1. Take a shower
2. Drink coffee
3. Get dressed
4. Write a blog post
5. Finish my marketing presentation final exam
6. Kiss my boyfriend
7. Drink champagne
8. Make a toast and thank everyone who voted for me
9. Phone my parents
10. Phone some Canadian contestants
11. Drink Fosters Beer
12. Laugh
13. Play Rock Band
14. Party like it’s 1999
15. Talk with the media
16. Dream, live and love

I just happened upon bjitw today, and viewed 20 or so of the short-list applications. Yours is clearly and entirely in a league of its own. Your application is a pertinent, creative, and first-class production, while you remain vulnerable and cute (and beautiful!). I followed it to your blog here, which is incredibly fresh and entertaining. You are a delight to listen to and watch. I’ve subscribed to your blog, and will follow it to the GBR if that’s where you end up. Or wherever. Best of luck!

Hope you had an enjoyable evening with family and friends at Biro.
After looking over the chosen contenders, only one popped out as being memorable from my initial review apart from Claire. To that I think - hmmmmmmmm!
In any event, Queensland benefitted from your enthusiam to the contest. They lucked in just having you as a contender.

I couldn’t believe you didn’t make it to the final round! I’ve been in shock & still am! Your video was awesome so was your blog, I hope you’ll keep your blog going as it is creative and fun.

Yoo hoo! Yoo hoo! I’m still in disbelief that you didn’t make it. I’ve watched a lot of the other finalists and I seem to be missing something. Regardless, I’m so proud of you for all your hard work with this and I know your efforts will pay off in some other form. Perhaps you will a $150K USD job offer from somewhere. Here’s to your international stardom and future ‘global domination’!
