I can’t believe it! I have made it into the top 50 shortlisted candidates for THE BEST JOB IN THE WORLD! What a phenomenal experience this has been so far. I want to send shouts out to all 34,684 candidates who made a video for this job - this has been quite a wild ride, so congratulations to all of you!
To the other 6 Canadians that have been selected - yeah uh-huh we are going to represent! Wooooohoooooo! I can’t wait to meet all of you in person somehow somewhere. This is going to be a tough competition fellow Canadians! But I have never been more proud….*insert a few tears here*

How a high 5-er day looks like:
5 hours of celebrating with friends after finding out I made the top 50 shortlist
5 hours of sleep before my…
5am wake up call for the first interview in my life
5 interviews in a row: one on SKYPE, one in my home, one where I wore an ear piece in a TV studio, and two hilarious radio shows
5 bottles of water down the hatch so I could make it to my last…
5pm radio interview

Both my husband & I have made our videos for this job & it was great fun! Although we didn’t make to the top 50,

Good luck with being in the top 50! I vote for you everyday! I LOVE your video and your blog. Australia and Tourism Queensland would be lucky to have you!! After I saw your video…I knew I was, well….screwed, and didn’t stand a chance! You are my choice for the island caretaker…it was a toss up between you and that Russian Confederation lady!?? I mean… Really?!?!
