Ahoy all,
What a day, what a day!
I was spazzing out all over town when I realized MAN O MAN I have to get my blog post finished. So I cracked a lager and pulled out some Chinese food from the fridge to sit down and come up with something so incredible that it would blow your socks off.
Nothing.
(An hour passes)
Still nothing.
(Then all of a sudden…)
KA-POW! SHA-ZAM! I figured out how to blow all your socks off. Check out Kutiman! This Israeli musician has taken some serious time to find a bunch of awesome peeps on You Tube; he re-mixes their videos into some pretty incredible beats.
Now I know that this has nothing to do with Australia…but maybe one day Kutiman (aka Ophir Kutiel) will travel to Australia and will love Oz so much that he will eat footballs, meat pies, kangaroos and Holden cars….
Pretty cool stuff, hey? This new project of his is called Thru-You and it went viral hella fast! In a week, Kutiman had over 1 million views on You Tube. As Lawrence Lessig, an open source advocate, says about Kutiman’s project, “if you come to the Net armed with the idea that the old system of copyright is going to work fine here, this more than anything is going to get you to recognize you need some new ideas.”

Ps. did you know that “Lässig” in German means easy-going and cool? I know it is spelt with an “a” but it was just an interesting observation.
