Macromantics

Oi friends,

Happy Sunday folks! On Sundays it usually takes me a while to wake up and smell the coffee…but with this killer song Moments in Movement by Macromantics, I’m smellin’ the coffee before it’s even brewed.

Hip-hop singer Romy Hoffman is a Melbourne based artist, and in 2006 Hoffman was the first Australian hip-hop act to be signed on with an American record label, Kill Rock Stars.

Romy Hoffman “constructs rap labyrinth’s whose corners are peepholes into the world. Her style encapsulates the essence of emceeing as a voice, a message, and an instrument. She is a social and cultural commentator who uses the medium of rhyme to better understand both herself and the world at large. She spits fierce. Heads will roll.”

Check out Macromantics’ 2006 hit song (from her first ever full length album) Moments in Movement….

Hi Marcella:

Enjoyed all your posts! They are funny, informative & educational!

I see perhaps where you got the idea for your video of you jumping from mountain into deep sea from this video? It was very cleverly done & worked extremely well for your video!

Please keep us updated with your news & all the interesting facts… I did horrible on the Australian quiz but was very glad to learn all the new trivia on ‘Down under’ ! I can’t wait for when you get chosen & new posts you will have when you are @ GBR!

Hi Marcella,

Just randomly passing through and thought I would say that I love the site and love the video. Best of luck with the job. Although, as an Australian, I must say that while the Great Barrier Reef has a lot going for it, with artists like Romy and cricketers like Shane Warne, Melbourne is far more interesting :P
