Ahoy all,
Last night I went to catch a wicked show at Richards on Richards. Not only are White Lies and Friendly Fires surprisingly great to hear, but both bands really know how to please a crowd.
Here’s a tip for all you starting out bands: you gotta be dramatic or wiggle. If you have no idea what I am talking about…I mean get up on stage and pull some awesome moves to get the house hopping. Grooving all over the stage like a nut is entertaining…plus if you have a rip in the crotch of your pants the ladies will always keep their eyes on your you-know-what, or you can pretend to have a sexy U.K. accent, or you can always arrange for an incredible light show, if nothing else.
To top off the hilarious night I passed a sweaty dude in the parking lot outside (thinking he was the lead singer)…
Marcella: Great show!
Parking lot fella: Rachel?
You can only imagine where it all went after that…nowhere. Here’s a song I love by White Lies that I think many of us can appreciate for our own good reasons, Farewell to the Playground.
